West Penn Police report

The West Penn Township Police Department released its activities report for the month of March.

During the month, officers patrolled 5,700 miles and responded to 99 calls. Police issued 61 citations and 16 warnings. There were 11 motor vehicle accidents.

Police Chief Jason Lorah noted that the department will be at the West Penn Elementary School on April 24 and 25 for D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) graduation and the D.A.R.E. Challenge.

Lorah invited supervisors to attend.

He also noted that department members will teach a forensics class to a local Boy Scout troop on Sunday.
