Palmerton Borough Council took the following action on Thursday:

• Tabled a fireworks request from the Palmerton Area Chamber of Commerce.

• Approved a three-year contract for sewage sludge removal to J.P. Mascaro & Sons, with a $239.25 per ton rate, based on the recommendation from Entech Engineering.
