Officials report a suspect was shot on Route 940 Tuesday evening after a pursuit that began in Pocono Mountain Police territory and continued through Kidder Township, ending in the area of 88 Route 940 near White Haven.

According to reports from the scene, the suspect has been taken to a hospital.

Route 940 has been closed in the area while police investigate.

The state police major case team from Troop N is on scene.
