ON THIS DATE FEBRUARY 5, 1964

Borough councils of Coaldale, Lansford and Summit Hill, in separate meetings last night, passed ordinances forming the joint Coaldale, Lansford Summit Hill Sewer Authority.

The councils also out in place persons who will represent their communities, including: Coaldale — Francis H. Jones, Theodore J. Puschak and John A. Holmes; Lansford — Walter Strauss, George Raabe and John Mitchell Sr.; and Summit Hill — George B. Stewart, Joseph L. Rex and Dominck P. DiMeco.

The authority’s purpose is to form, acquire, hold, construct, improve, maintain, own, operate and lease sewer systems and sewage treatment works for the three communities.
