Tamaqua Borough work crews were on scene of a water main break Tuesday morning on Center Street at the intersection with Spruce Street. A leak in a 14-inch water main near the intersection of Center and Spruce streets in Tamaqua was detected at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday.

Crews had the leak repaired by 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Borough Manager Kevin Steigerwalt said no customers lost water service and no water boil advisory is necessary.

The leak was a routine water main break and not caused by weather conditions, Steigerwalt said.
