State police at Hazleton - crashes

State police at the Hazleton barracks reported the following crashes:

• Pedro A. Lopez Vasquez, 48, of Hazle Township, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 9:41 a.m. Jan. 18 on Buck Mountain Road in Lehigh Township.

Police said he was driving a 2014 Honda CRV eastbound on the roadway, which was completely covered with snow. They said he lost control of the vehicle and it exited the road and hit a tree.

The CRV was towed from the scene.

• Brooke E. Dietrich, 23, of Weatherly, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 8:11 a.m. Jan. 11 on Hudson Drive (Route 93) in Packer Township.

Police said she was transported by personnel from the Lehighton Ambulance Association to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Miners Campus, Coaldale.

They said she was driving a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup southbound when she lost control on the ice-covered roadway. The truck hit an embankment and overturned onto its roof.

It was towed from the scene.

• Dominic F. Warmuth, 26, of Pottsville, was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed after a one-vehicle crash at 4:55 p.m. Dec. 10 on Quakake Road, Packer Township. He was uninjured in the incident.

Police said he was driving a 2019 Ford westbound when it crossed the eastbound lane, left the road and hit an embankment, overturned and came to rest in a field. The vehicle was towed.
