Jim Thorpe Area School District’s Board of Directors approved the following personnel-related items during its regular meeting held Dec. 17:

• The extension of Jordan Eckman’s long-term substitute teaching position at the Penn Kidder Campus, placed at Bachelor’s Step 1, with a prorated salary of $53,020 for the remainder of the 2025-26 school year.

• Robin McGeehan as a contracted speech pathologist at a rate of $58 per hour, retroactive to Dec. 16, 2025.

• Miranda Ziegenfus as a student teacher at L.B. Morris Elementary School, working with Ashley Schirer’s second-grade class from March through May 2026.

• Jaeli Kroll as a student teacher at L.B. Morris Elementary School, working with Anthony Thomas’ third-grade class during the spring 2026 semester.

• Fawn Meli to attend the 2026 PDE Bureau of Special Education State Conference in Hershey from Feb. 25-27, at a total cost of $890.
