A man was injured Friday afternoon in East Brunswick Township when a large tree fell on the van he was driving. The incident occurred around 2:15 p.m. as he was westbound on Route 443 atop Clamtown Hill. Heavy winds during a storm downed the tree, which toppled onto the van and damaged the vehicle’s roof, causing a head injury to the driver. The man was treated at the scene by Tamaqua Ambulance personnel. Route 443 was closed to traffic.
