Schuylkill Co. Chamber wins state award

The Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce was once again named the 2025 Pennsylvania Association of Chamber Professionals Chamber of the Year in the category of chambers with over 700 members.

The award was presented during the PACP Chamber Professionals and Leadership Conference at Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Seven Springs.

The Schuylkill Chamber received the award in 2022 and 2024.

The PACP Chamber of the Year Award evaluates organizational excellence in the areas of membership, programs, planning and finance, while also highlighting significant achievements a chamber has initiated or led within the past 18 months.

“This award is a recognition of the dedication and commitment of our chamber staff and specifically the success we have had on childcare advocacy, leading a coalition of 72-plus chambers of commerce and economic development organizations across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,” Chamber President and CEO Robert S. Carl Jr. said.

The effort resulted in a $25 million new state budget line item appropriation for childcare teacher recruitment and retention.

“This advocacy achievement begins to address the childcare crisis in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and across our nation, and provides a building block for future expanded appropriations for childcare,” Carl said.

He noted that the chamber was proud to receive the recognition, and thanked partners and others for their support.
