Northern Lehigh School Board recently approved the following:

Conferences

• Nichole Fink, PASBO: Food Service Conference, Nov. 18-19, Manheim, registration, $220, mileage, $230, for a total cost of $450, to be funded from the district’s food service budget.

• Krystel Tiedeman — PA School Librarians — PA School Librarians Association Annual Conference — April 15-18, Altoona, with the cost of registration, $235, lodging, $318, mileage, $248, meals, $180, for a total cost of about $981, to be funded from the high school professional development budget.

• Michele Dotta, PA Department of Education Conference, Feb. 25-27, Hershey, with the cost of registration, $215, lodging, $798, mileage $109, meals, $120, for a total cost of about $1,242, to be funded from the special education budget.

Curriculum and instruction

• Execute an affiliation agreement between the district and Point Park University for a teacher preparation program, which will allow Point Park University students to complete required field experience hours within the district as part of their graduation requirements. The agreement will be effective for five years from Oct. 31.

• Execute an addendum to the existing affiliation agreement between the district and Cedar Crest College for a dietic intern program, that allows Cedar Crest College students to complete required field experience hours within the district as part of their graduation requirements. The agreement is effective Dec. 3.
