Trinity Happenings

Sunday worship with Holy Communion at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Lehighton, begins at 9:30 a.m. Licensed Lay Minister Kathy Long presides. Coffeehouse fellowship follows in Luther Hall.

The annual congregational meeting begins at 11 a.m. in Luther Hall. The purpose of the meeting is to elect council members and approve the 2026 budget. There will be no Sunday Church School classes. Confirmation students are to attend with a parent. Classes resume Nov. 23.

Church initiatives:

The Food Pantry is open from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesdays (and third Tuesday from 5:30-7 p.m.) with an outdoor drive-up setting. Residents who reside in the Lehighton Area School District are eligible to receive supplemental food. Participants must remain in their vehicle at time of pickup. Pantry volunteers will assist pedestrians/those not in vehicles.

The Trinity Thrift Store hours have changed. They are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursdays and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays. It is cash only. Household goods and clothing donations will be accepted during store hours. There is a five bag limit. Use door 2 to bring clothing inside.

Looking ahead:

• Trinity Thrift Store Christmas Sale in Luther Hall is Nov. 28-29 and Dec. 1-2, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Featured items include indoor and outdoor decorations, cards, knickknacks, toys, more. Cash only. Please use the Iron Street entrance.

• Nativity Display Dec. 7, 9:30-noon in Luther Hall. For those desiring to show your personal Nativity, please reserve a spot by contacting the church office in advance with a brief description of it. Setup for the display is Dec. 6 from 3-5 p.m. or Dec. 7 before the 9:30 worship service. All are welcome. Take home your display following coffee fellowship at 12:30 p.m.

Christ Evangelical

Christ Evangelical Free Church, 2420 Blakeslee Blvd., Dr., West in Lehighton holds worship service beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday. Sunday School for children and youth is also held every Sunday except the first Sunday of the month at 10:30 a.m.

Ministries during the week:

Sister Chix, a support group for widows and divorced women, is held the last Sunday of each month at noon. Bring a lunch, but dessert will be provided. To attend, call 570-386-4547.

ESL classes are held at 6:30 p.m. every Monday. To register, call the church office.

Ladies’ Bible Study starting at 7 p.m. for the Tuesday study and at 10 a.m. for the Friday study. Study is called Giving God Your Future; a Women of Faith study.

Men’s Bible workshop is the first and third Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m.

AWANA — Kids Bible Club is held every Wednesday at 6 p.m. Upper parking lot entrance. Register at https://christfc.net/awana-bible-club/ or call 570-386-4547

Prayer Shawl Ministry is held the second Saturday of the month from 9-11 a.m.

A Food Pantry takes place the third Saturday of the month from 9 a.m.-noon. Lower parking lot entrance.
