Lehigh Valley Health Network, part of Jefferson Health, is introducing a new, modern walk-in care experience for patients in Carbon County — JeffExpress Urgent Care.

JeffExpress Urgent Care-Lehighton opened for care on Tuesday in Lehighton, just off Route 443, within the Carbon Plaza shopping center.

The 2,500-square-foot building features a retail-style entrance with five patient exam rooms equipped with medical testing equipment in each room and on-site X-ray imaging with real-time readings.

“JeffExpress Urgent Care is designed with patients in mind. It’s the same care you know and trust but offers an enhanced, more user-friendly and efficient experience from the moment you walk in until you check out,” said Amy Nyberg, president of ambulatory services, Jefferson Health. “We look forward to bringing these same innovations to all urgent care locations in the coming months.”

To celebrate the launch of JeffExpress Urgent Care-Lehighton, colleagues and community members took part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony and toured the newly renovated facility during a community open house.

JeffExpress Urgent Care-Lehighton offers walk-in care for urgent minor illnesses or injuries.

Open 365 days a year, JeffExpress Urgent Care-Lehighton offers convenient hours and reduced waiting times. The facility is located at 1205 Blakeslee Blvd. Drive E., Lehighton is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with adjusted hours on holidays.
