November 8, 2003 — Pete McCauley rushes for 135 yards and three touchdowns to help Northwestern roll to a 30-0 victory over Notre Dame in the District 11 Class 2A semifinal round. After a scoreless first quarter, a sack by Jeff Dolena and fumble recovery by Chris Schmoyer gives the Tigers the ball on ND’s 10-yard line. McCauley runs it in from there to open the scoring. Another turnover — fumble recovery by Jon Rex — leads to a second McCauley tally on a 14-yard run. A squib kick after the score is recovered Mike McClure and Ryan Oxley follows with a TD toss to Zach Bennett to extend the lead. McCauley adds a 26-yard scoring run inn the second half to help seal the win.
