Schuylkill Technology Center announced that students in its Adult Practical Nursing Program had a 95% pass rate in the 2024-2025 National Council Licensure Examination.
Of the 24 graduates in the program, 23 of them are working in the nursing field.
The National Council Licensure Examination is required by nursing school graduates in Pennsylvania.
A passing mark is needed to get a license to practice nursing in the state.
Schuylkill Technology Center-North campus in Frackville has part-time day and evening nursing classes for adult learners.
Students participate in clinical rotations with Aveanna Pediatric Home Health, Broad Mountain Nursing Home, Child Development, Devita Dialysis, Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital, Greenwood Center for Nursing, Lehigh Valley Health Network Schuylkill, Mt. Carmel Nursing and Rehabilitation, Shenandoah Manor, Schuylkill Intermediate Unit #29, Silver Pines Rehabilitation and St. Luke’s Miners Hospital.
“We at STC are incredibly proud to celebrate four consecutive years of outstanding NCLEX pass rates. This consistent achievement reflects the dedication of our students and faculty to academic excellence and clinical readiness. Our graduates continue to enter the nursing profession fully prepared to meet the demands of today’s health care setting with confidence and competence,” said Kimberly O’Neill, STC’s Practical Nursing Program Coordinator.
