NL approves curriculum items

Northern Lehigh School Board approved the following curriculum and instruction matters on Monday:

• Agreement with Innovomat for professional development to engage in a pilot during the 2025-2026 school year at a cost of $10,000 to be paid out of the district’s curriculum and instruction budget;

• Agreement with Curriculum Associates for professional development to engage in an I-Ready pilot during the 2025-2026 school year at a cost of $6,900 to be paid out of the curriculum and instruction budget;

• Agreement with CLIU #20 for Title I Non-Public Services for the 2025-2026 school year in the amount of $795 to be funded through federal programs (Title I) funds;

• Agreement with CLIU #21 for Title II, Non-Public Administration and Services for the 2025-2026 school year in the amount of $605 to be funded through Federal Programs (Title II) funds;

• Agreement with CLIU #21 for Title IV Non-Public Administration and Services for the 2025-2026 school year in the amount of $364 to be funded through Federal Programs (Title IV) funds;

• Execute an affiliation agreement between the district and Immaculata University for a teacher preparation program. This agreement will allow Immaculata University students to complete required field experience hours within the district as part of their graduation requirements. The agreement will be effective for the 2025-2026, 20226-2027, and 2027-2028 school years;

• Agreement with Voyager Sopris Learning for Voyager Passport Intervention program for grades 4 to 6 during the 2025-2026 school year at no cost to the district will all expenses paid for through the VSL 2025-2026 grant;

• Agreement with Voyager Sopris Learning for Voyager Passport Intervention program for third grade during the 2025-2026 school year at a cost of $1,120, to be funded through the Slatington Elementary School budget, and;

• Suzanne Mengel, helping teacher, for Mia Lidestri, inductee, Year 1 and Year 2, $800 a year; and MaryAnn Mattiola, helping teacher, for Marcy Dum, inductee, Year 1, $200.
