Hometown Fire co. plans event

The Hometown Volunteer Fire Company will host fire prevention night from 6 - 9 p.m. Oct. 7. A variety of activities are scheduled including a car cutting demonstration with MedEvac and Tamaqua Community Ambulance, a grease fire demonstration, truck displays, ice cream truck and other light refreshments. The event is free to the public. Parents are highly encouraged to bring their children to teach them how to stay safe in the event of an emergency situation.
