Senior Center

The Panther Valley Senior Center announced the menu for Sept. 29 to Oct. 3.

Monday: Breaded Beef Patty, Mashed Potatoes, Carrots, Pudding or Ham and Cheese Sandwich

Tuesday: Omelet, Turkey Sausage, Potatoes, Fruit Salad or Chicken Caesar salad

Wednesday: Stuffed Pepper, Mashed Potatoes, Carrots, Yogurt or Greek salad

Thursday: Garlic Chicken, Red Potatoes, Green Beans, Peaches or Meat loaf and Cheese Sandwich

Friday: Meatballs, Pasta, Grilled Vegetables, Salad, Jell-O or Grilled Chicken Sandwich

The center has also announced the following upcoming events:

Scattergories on Sept. 29 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on Sept. 30 at 10:45 a.m.; Game Day on Oct. 1 at 10:30; Po-Keeno on Oct. 2 at 11 a.m.; Crafts on Oct. 3 at 10 a.m.

Games on Oct. 6 at 11 a.m.; Heritage Hill and Fox Rehab Presentation on “Body Mechanics and Proper Lifting Techniques” on Oct. 7 at 10:30 a.m.; Family Feud on Oct. 8 at 11 a.m.; Sunshine Meeting on Oct. 9 at 10 a.m. followed by Po- Keeno at 11 a.m.; Bingo on Oct. 10 at 10:45 a.m.

Cards, Pool, Games, available daily from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. New members are welcome.

Panther Valley library

The Panther Valley Public Library continues “Preschool Story Hour.”

The event is open to children ages 3 to 5 and is held from 10 to 11 a.m. at the library, 117 E. Bertsch St., Lansford.

It includes a story, craft and light snack.

Golden Agers

The Panther Valley Golden Agers met on Sept. 22 with 12 members present.

President Diane Gould opened the meeting. The secretary and treasurer’s reports were accepted, and refreshments were served.

The group chanced off Halloween and Thanksgiving items which were won by six members. Bingo was played.

The next meeting will be held Oct. 13 from the St. Ann’s Apartments in Lansford. and a basket raffle will be held. The group made a trip to the Dutchway Restaurant in Myertown on Sept. 24.
