Northern Lehigh School Board approved the following personnel matters recently:
Retirement
• Kelly Kromer, school counselor, Peters Elementary School, effective Oct. 24, after 24 years of service.
Appointments
• Darlene Haines, second shift custodian, $18.55 per hour, effective Aug. 20.
• Marielle Kouao, special education paraprofessional, $17.99 per hour, effective Sept. 29.
• Joanne Berger, lunchroom monitor, Peters Elementary, $16.32 per hour, effective Aug. 19.
• Amanda Kromer, special education paraprofessional, $17.99 per hour, effective on or about Sept. 15.
Substitutes
• Brenda Hahn, paraprofessional, $13 per hour, Kay O’Donnell, cafeteria, $13 per hour, and custodial, $15 per hour, substitute workers, 2025-26 school year at the 2025-26 substitute rate as approved on the Supplemental Personnel Salary Schedule.
• Michael Choy, guest teacher, Melanie Templeton, PK-4, $120 per day for the first 10 days and $130 per day on day 11 and beyond, substitute teachers, 2025-26 school year at the 2025-26 substitute rate as approved on the Supplemental Personnel Salary Schedule.
Salary adjustments
• Josephine Flugger, has completed the requirements per the collective bargaining agreement that entitles her to a salary increase from Step 2 Bachelors+24, $63,575 to Step 2 Masters, $66,875, in the 2025-26 school year.
• Andrea Potylycki, from Step 1 Bachelors+24, $63,375, to Step 2 Bachelors+24, $63,575.
After-school program
• Robin Blocker, $19.72 per hour, Megan Farkas, $19.16 per hour, Raysa Gonzalez, $18.39 per hour, paraprofessionals.
Yearbook stipend
• Rescind a stipend in the amount of $650 for creating the Peters Elementary School yearbook for the 2025-26 school year to be awarded to Michelle Siesko, to be funded by the Peters Elementary general fund budget, and instead approved a stipend in the amount of $650 for creating the Peters Elementary School year for the 2025-26 school year to be awarded to Kayla Perkowski, to be funded by the Peters Elementary general fund budget.
Cocurricular rescind appointment
• Rescinded the appointment of Matthew Davis as middle school ACE adviser, 2025-26 year, that was previously approved on the Aug. 11 school board meeting agenda.
Cocurricular salary change
• Manuel Gonzalez, from Spanish Club adviser, $6,624, to Spanish Club adviser, $624, 2025-26 school year.
2025-26 cocurricular appointments
• Abigail Merkle, National Junior Honor Society, $766; Maria Schaffer, middle school Aevidum — shared stipend, $765; Maisha Utterback, middle school Aevidum — shared stipend, $765; Lisa Fisher, senior class adviser, $1,020; Mark Nicosia, senior class adviser, $1,020; Nicholas Sander, German Club, $606.
Marching band independent contractor
• Michael Tanzos, drill writer, $1,000, 2025-26 high school marching band season.
Bus driver/aide
• Cindy Laub, bus driver/aide from Brandywine Transportation to transport Northern Lehigh School District students for the 2025-26 school year.
Department leaders
• Susan Beil, special education, districtwide; Allison Chruscial, student services, districtwide; Christopher Bennett, business and technology, districtwide; Stephen Shuey, fine arts, districtwide; Shannon Jones, health/physical education/family and consumer science, districtwide; Amanda Bariana, assessment and data, districtwide; Susanne Hegedus, ELA/Social Studies, elementary; Amanda Beer, ELA/Social Studies, districtwide; Jamie Bigley, mathematics/science, elementary; Elissa Fry, mathematics, secondary; Gabryella Wilder, science, secondary; Nick Sander, social studies, secondary. Each department leader is paid an additional $1,800.
