The Northern Lehigh School Board recently approved the following items:
Financial
• Purchasing wrestling mats from Dollamur at a cost of $11,075, to be funded from the district’s Athletic Department budget.
• Moving forward with district branding of various areas in the Northern Lehigh administration office through ID Wraps, at a cost of $1,861, to be funded from the school board budget.
• Signing the CLIU 21 TransPerfect agreement with updated rates to provide language interpreting related services as needed for the 2025-26 school year.
Curriculum and instruction
• Renewal of the Unique Learning System service contract for special needs students for the 2025-26 school year, at a cost of $5,817, to be funded through Medical Access. This price also includes the cost of an additional license.
• Purchase of Amplify Boost for the 2025-26 school year at Peters Elementary School, at a cost of $5,460, to be funded by the Peters Elementary School budget.
• Agreement with CLIU 21 for Title I Non-Public Services for the 2025-26 school year, in the amount of $1,589, to be funded through Title I funds.
• Expansion of the Bounce Bank program with Valley Youth House for the 2025-26 school year to include Slatington Elementary School at no cost to the district.
• Agreement with Apple Tree Educational Associates LLC to provide bilingual school psychologist services to assist the Special Education Department for the 2025-26 school year, to be funded through the Special Education Department.
Conference
• Daniel Williams, to attend the Brilliant Pathways Learning Symposia, Oct. 26-28 in Essex, New York, with the cost of mileage, $462, to be funded through the middle school PD budget.
Other matters
• The following to sign summary offense notices for district students for the 2025-26 school year, after consultation with Superintendent Matthew J. Link: David Jones, safety and security coordinator/school police chief; Mark Nicosia, Mark Thomas and Scott Prebosnyak, school police officers; James Schnyderite, principal, Peters Elementary School; Todd Breiner, principal, Slatington Elementary School; Nicholas Krajcic, elementary assistant principal; Daniel Williams, principal, middle school; Lori Bali, principal, high school; Nicole Del Gotto, assistant principal, high school and middle school.
• The memorandum of understanding with LinkIt! for data analytic services at no cost to the district.
