Northern Lehigh superintendent acknowledges donors

Northern Lehigh Superintendent Dr. Matthew J. Link took time during Monday’s school board meeting to acknowledge donations:

• The Neff’s National Bank: Through its donation to the Northern Lehigh Educational Foundation, Link said the bank fully funded the cost of this summer’s STEAM Camp at Slatington Elementary School. Thanks to the generosity, no student was charged to attend, and no costs were passed along to the district’s general fund, Link said.

• Northern Lehigh Educational Foundation: The organization fully funded this year’s elementary band camp, ensuring that once again no student was charged to participate and no charges were borne by the district, Link said.

• Lehigh Valley Educator’s Credit Union: Link said the organization generously donated $2,000 to cover the complete cost of the Employee Appreciation Picnic on Aug. 21, and added, “This event brought our staff together to start the school year at no expenses to the district.”

• Anonymous donor: Link said that someone contributed all the materials for the pavers recently installed around the Bulldog statue at Bulldog Stadium, and noted, “The gift has enhanced the facilities in a meaningful and lasting way.”

• New Tripoli Bank: He said the business “generously donated school supplies for our students as they returned to school, helping to ensure they started the year prepared and supported.”

“On behalf of the district, I sincerely thank these donors for their continued support,” Link said.
