Separate Ways performs tribute to Journey

They are the ultimate tribute to the music of Journey.

Feel the power of Journey’s iconic rock anthems with Separate Ways the Band, the East Coast’s premier Journey tribute.

Separate Ways the Band will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday on the Main Stage at this year’s Palmerton Community Festival.

Danny Gagliano, lead singer, said this will be the band’s first year performing at the venue.

“Totally looking forward to it, a lot of foot traffic, a lot of vendors,” Gagliano said. “It’s going to be an exciting weekend for everybody, a great opportunity to just expand our fan base and meet new people and just celebrate the people of Journey.”

Gagliano promises that fans of Journey will enjoy themselves.

“It’s going to be a great show, looking forward to it,” he said. “Big audience, big crowd, big music, it’s going to be a great day.”

Gagliano said he’s been doing this for 23 years, and that the band’s current lineup has been together since 2021.

Along with Gagliano, the five-man band features talented musicians Michael Corsaro, Mick Loro, Paul Michael and Dave Ramani recreating the music of Journey with precision.

For this particular show, Gagliano said Chris McCoy will be filling in for Loro on keyboards/backing vocals, while Dave Ramani will be filling in for Stewart on the drums.

“It’s just so much fun,” he said. “I’ve never had a bad day doing these Journey songs.”

According to the band’s website, this is the closest you’ll get to seeing the early-mid 1980s lineup of Journey live, as an accurate portrayal of the Steve Perry era is meticulously duplicated in every aspect.

Experience all of the subtle nuances, inflections, harmonies, and visual gratifications of seeing the original Journey in concert.
