Northern Lehigh School Board approved the following financial matters recently:

• Purchase and installation of a water softener at Northern Lehigh Middle School by McClure Company, at a cost of $17,340.

• Three-year agreement for Google Workspace for Education Plus through Lancaster Lebanon Intermediate Unit No. 13 Consortium at a cost of $6,188 per year, to be funded through the Technology Department budget.

• 2025-26 CLIU Technology Pool Legal Services Agreement at a cost of $555, to be funded through legal services and other professional services budget.

• Awarded insurance coverage for the 2025-26 school year to Commercial Package and Automobile to Graphic Arts Mutual (Utica) Insurance Company, $108,766, a decrease of $1,599 over last year’s rate; commercial automobile to Graphic Arts Mutual (Utica) Insurance Company, $15,972, a $986 increase over last year’s premium; School Leaders Directors and Omissions Liability, to American International Group Inc., $30,750, no change in cost over prior year; Commercial Umbrella Liability Insurance to Republic Franklin Insurance (Utica), $22,218, a decrease of $2,796 over last year’s rate; and Cyber Security Liability to Chubb (ACE American), $12,084, a decrease of $2,016 from last year.

• Maine Employers’ Mutual Insurance Company as the district’s workers’ compensation carrier for the 2025-26 school year at an estimated premium of $57,212, a decrease of about $60,303.

• Three-year contract with SmartPass for both the high school and middle school students at a cost of $2.46 per student, for up to 750 students, a roughly $650 annual savings compared to the district’s current provider. The cost will be billed annually.

• Appointing the district’s accounts receivable bookkeeper as the liaison between the district and Statewide Tax Recovery for the express purpose of sharing confidential tax information between parties.

• Dr. Karen Lehman, DDS of Walnutport Dental Center, as the school dentist for the 2025-26 school year at the quoted fee of $2 per dental exam needed.

• Request of the senior high school to close the Class of 2025 account in accordance with Student Activities Fund guidelines. The account balance is $4,959. The funds will be transferred to the Northern Lehigh High School Scholarship account.

• Request of the middle school to close the eighth grade team account in accordance with Student Activities Fund guidelines. The account balance is $341. The funds will be transferred to the middle school student council account.

• Supplemental Personnel Salary Schedule for the 2025-26 school year.
