The Panther Valley Senior Center announced the menu for Sept. 1-5.

Monday: Center closed.

Tuesday: Omelet, Turkey Sausage, Potatoes, Fruit Salad or BBQ Chicken Sandwich.

Wednesday: Center closed.

Thursday: BBQ Chicken, Sweet Potatoes, Green Beans, Orange or Egg Salad Sandwich.

Friday: Smothered Pork, Red Potatoes, Vegetable Blend, Pound Cake or Grilled Chicken Sandwich.

The center has also announced the following upcoming events:

Cornhole on Aug. 29 at 11 a.m.

Center Closed on Sept. 1; Bingo on Sept. 2 at 10:45 a.m.; Game Day on Sept. 3 at 10:30 a.m.; Po-Keeno on Sept. 4 at 11 a.m.; Win Lose or Draw on Sept. 5 at 11 a.m.

Cards, Pool, Games available daily from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. New members are welcome.

Nesquehoning

Recreation Commission

The Nesquehoning recreation commission will hold its Fall Basket Raffle on Sept. 5 and 6 at the recreation center, 335 W. Railroad St. The event will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Sept. 5 and 10 a.m. until the time of the drawing at 4 p.m. on Sept. 6. Proceeds from the event go toward events at the recreation center, as well as the upkeep of the local parks. Food will be available for purchase.
