Resignations

Appointments
• Rachel DeMicco, temporary professional employee, elementary librarian/media specialist/gifted, $63,375, effective Aug. 19.
• Colleen Day, professional employee, special-education teacher, Slatington Elementary School, $68,075, effective Aug. 19.
• Bart Franta, professional employee, English as a second language and Spanish teacher, $68,575, effective Aug. 19.
• Andrea Potylycki, temporary professional employee, middle school Math, $63,375, effective Aug. 19.
• Aimee Hegedus, temporary professional employee, kindergarten elementary teacher, $58,250, effective Aug. 19.

Permanent substitutes
• Lisa Hoever, Nicole Kinney, Alex Schwab, districtwide permanent substitute teachers for the 2025-26 school year, daily per diem rate of $150 plus district health benefits according to the Affordable Care Act regulations with copayment amounts equivalent to that of district professional personnel.
• Samantha Molitoris, districtwide permanent substitute teacher, 2025-26 school year, daily per diem rate of $150 plus district health benefits according to the Affordable Care Act regulations with copayment amounts equivalent to that of district professional personnel.
Substitute teachers
• Angela Everett, elementary, Konstantine Georgiades, guest teacher, Dawn Kemery, elementary, Mary Roberts, guest teacher, Tanya Williams, Peters Elementary, K-12, as substitute teachers for the 2025-26 school year at the 2025-26 substitute rate as approved on the Supplemental Personnel Salary Schedule.
• Anna Smith, Dawn Tulio, secretary, as substitute workers for the 2025-26 school year.
Salary adjustment
• Allyson DeHart, from Step 11M to Step 11M+24, Charles George, from Step 5B to Step 5B+24, Michael Smith, from Step 4B+24 to Step 4M, and Tamara Stubits, from Step 9M to Step 9M+24, as teachers who have completed the requirements per the collective bargaining agreement that would entitle them to a salary increase for the 2025-26 school year.

Detention supervisors

Web page maintenance
• Andrew Kern, $500 stipend, high school website maintenance and working with students during the 2025-26 school year, to be funded by the superintendent’s budget.
• Andrew Kern, $1,000 stipend, maintenance and updates of the district website during the 2025-26 school year, to be funded by the superintendent’s budget.
• Andrew Kern, $500 stipend, middle school website maintenance and working with students during the 2025-26 school year, to be funded by the general fund middle school student activities budget.
• Janet Bashore, $500 stipend, maintenance and updates of the Peters Elementary School website during the 2025-26 school year, to be funded by the Peters Elementary general fund budget.
Yearbook
• Michelle Brown, $750 stipend, for creating the Slatington Elementary School yearbook for the 2025-26 school year, to be funded by the Slatington Elementary general fund budget.
Marching band independent contractors
• Kris Jimenez, guard choreography, $500, 2025-26 high school marching band.
• Richard Strader, music/visual technician, $750, 2025-26 high school marching band.
Vacant positions
• Approved Superintendent Dr. Matthew J. Link to appoint qualified personnel to vacant positions from Aug. 12 through the next regularly scheduled board meeting.
