Northern Lehigh School Board approved the following requests last week:

Conferences

• Jamie Farber, ACAPA, Nov. 5-7, Hershey, registration $380, lodging $621, mileage $104, meals $20, other $90, for a total cost of about $1,214, to be funded through the assistant superintendent PD and technology PD budget.

• Superintendent Matthew J. Link, LCTI PAC Strategic Thinking Summit, Sept. 10-12, Lancaster, travel $108, meals $180, other $50, for a total cost of about $338, to be funded through the superintendent’s budget.

• Matthew J. Link, 2025 CLIU Superintendent Advisory Council Leadership Conference, Oct. 29-31, Hershey, travel $105, meals $120, for a total cost of about $285, to be funded through the superintendent’s budget.

• Matthew J. Link, Pennsylvania Superintendent Study Counc Conference, Feb. 9/11, Nashville, Tennessee, flight $500, meals $180, other $500, for a total cost of about $1,180, to be funded from the superintendent’s budget. The cost of registration, flight, travel to and from the airports, lodging (Feb. 9-10) and most meals are included in the PA-SSC membership.

• Matthew J. Link, AASA National Conference, Feb. 11-14, Nashville, Tennessee, registration $795, lodging $1,050, flight $500 meals $240, other $500, to be funded from the superintendent’s budget. The cost of flights and travel to and from airports will be reimbursed to the district by PA-SSC.

• Tania Stoker, AASA National Conference, Feb. 11-14, Nashville, Tennessee, registration $795, lodging $1,050, flight $500, meals $180, other $60, for a total cost of about $2,585, to be funded through the assistant superintendent’s PD budget.

Miscellaneous

• Initial club/activity application for the Northern Lehigh Theatre Company Club, with a shared $200 stipend between advisers Kayla Driscoll and Stephen Shuey, beginning with the 2025-26 school year, to be added to the collective bargaining agreement per policy.

• Continue membership in the Lehigh University School Study Council at a fee of $1,500 for the 2025-26 school year, to be paid from the superintendent’s budget.

• Matthew J. Link’s membership in the Pennsylvania Superintendent Study Council inclusive of the six seasons with Act 45 Credits, all meal and travel, lodging and registration for the annual PA-SSC conference in Nashville, Tennessee, Feb. 9-11, immediately before the AASA Conference, with the total annual cost of $300, to be funded from the superintendent’s budget.

• An agreement with Bucks County Intermediate Unit to comply with the requirement, goals and to strive to accomplish the objectives of Pennsylvania’s Education for Children and Youth Experiencing Homelessness Program.

• Unified Champion of School Memorandum of Understanding between Special Olympics of Pennsylvania and the district.

• Changes to the Bulldog Academy Student-Parent Handbook.
