NL names asst. elementary principal

A Berks County administrator has been named as assistant elementary principal in the Northern Lehigh School District.

On a 7-0 vote, the school board last week appointed Nicholas Krajcic as elementary assistant principal at a salary of $95,000, effective upon the release from his current employer.

Superintendent Dr. Matthew J. Link acknowledged Krajcic’s appointment and welcomed him to the district.

“We are so excited to have you join not only our leadership team, but also to be deeply involved at Peters and Slatington Elementary schools,” Link said.

Krajcic thanked the board for the opportunity.

“I’m incredibly excited to be here, everybody that I’ve met throughout the hiring process has been incredibly welcoming and has such incredible things to say about Northern Lehigh School District,” Krajcic said. “I’m honored to join (the district).”

Krajcic currently serves as assistant principal at Reading School District, where he worked since July 2023.

He is a graduate of Kutztown University, and earned his master’s at Slippery Rock University. He earned his principal’s certification at Point Park University and doctorate at Penn State University.

After the meeting, Link said that Krajcic will support students and staff at both Peters Elementary and Slatington Elementary.

“We are excited to have him join the Northern Lehigh School District and look to his first day in the district in early October,” Link said.

Directors Chad Christman and Rhonda Frantz were absent.
