Faith Alive Church

Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St., Palmerton (Bowmanstown) holds two services each Sunday with Pastor Rob Timlin. A contemporary service is held at 8:30 a.m., followed by Sunday school for all ages at 9:45 a.m. A traditional service is held at 11 a.m. There is a combined worship service at 10 a.m. this Sunday instead of the normal schedule.

August Mission: Pa. Adult and Teen Challenge. The organization provides hope of recovery with people struggling with substance abuse disorders and dependency issues.

ABC Food Pantry: Donations of canned goods and nonperishable food items can now be dropped off in the church lobby.

Blessed ministry: The Blessing Room is open to the general public. Take what is needed without judgment, but please clean up after to keep the room neat. Anyone who needs food or clothing, contact Jan Lazarchak at jklpta @yahoo.com. Gently used clothing donations are also being accepted by appointment.

Adult Sunday School Classes: Held in Leah’s Room and led by Lilly McFarland. Dates are Aug. 17 and Aug. 24.

Save the date: Community Soup Sale, Oct. 4 in Leah’s Room; Ladies Luncheon, Nov. 1.

Jerusalem UCC

Jerusalem UCC, 545 Church Drive, Palmerton (Trachsville) will host its Apple Fall Festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 4. Crafters and vendors are needed. Space will be available in the grove and inside the church.

Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 500 Church Drive, Palmerton, has announced the following upcoming events:

Persian donuts: The church is holding a Persian donut sale. To order call 610-681-5200, 610-577-6332 or 610-681-5020. Deadline to order is Sept. 7. Pickup is 9 a.m. on Sept 18. at the church.

Annual fall basket social: The church holds its annual fall basket social from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 11. There are theme baskets, raffles, a bake sale, door prizes and more. Food is also available for purchase.
