Northampton County crashes

State police at the Belfast barracks reported the following crashes:

• Two motorcyclists, including a Walnutport man, were injured in a crash at 9:03 p.m. July 2 on Interstate 78 in Lower Saucon Township.

Police said Christian D. Gonzales, 32, of Walnutport, and Jeffrey M. Delossantos, 35, of Easton, refused emergency medical services transports after the incident.

Police said Gonzales was operating a 2014 Triumph and Delossantos was driving a 2007 Honda when they abruptly applied the brakes on their cycles while entering a work area and traveling westbound. Police said they both lost control of their vehicles and fell with the cycles.

Both cycles were disabled and were towed from the scene.

Police said Gonzalez and Delossantos were both cited for the incident.

• A 2001 Toyota Camry operated by Jason C. Stermer Jr., 23, of Kunkletown, was damaged in an incident at 11:24 a.m. July 18 on Route 33 in Bushkill Township.

Police said he reported a large rock fell from an open trailer being pulled by an SUV, striking the hood and windshield of the Camry. The driver of the SUV failed to stop.

Stermer and a passenger, Makenlee R. Plotts Ross, 19, of Pen Argyl, were uninjured in the incident.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 4:50 p.m. July 9 on Mount Pleasant Road in Lower Mount Bethel Township.

Police said the crash occurred as Jeffery M. Montgomery, 28, of Kunkletown, was driving a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 west and was rounding a curve in the roadway when a John Deere vehicle driven by Bret M. DeFranco, 62, of Bangor, was in the eastbound lane.

Police said Montgomery began to stop to avoid a collision, but the Ram struck the opposing vehicle.

Police said the Ram had disabling damage, while the John Deere had functional damage.

Montgomery was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed, according to police.
