VALOR announces annual Patriots Ball
VALOR Clinic Foundation is excited to announce its annual fundraising gala, “The Patriots Ball,” taking place on Nov. 8 from 6:30 to 11 p.m. at Skytop Lodge in Skytop.
Thousands of veterans in the area cannot make ends meet because they are suffering from injuries and/or illnesses they received fighting for our country and our freedom.
VALOR is an IRS registered501(c)3 nonprofit charity based in Brodheadsville and the focus is to help these veterans.
The Patriots Ball is one of their major fundraisers.
All proceeds go directly to help veterans through VALOR’s programs that assist struggling veterans accessing benefits, securing shelter/food, and providing long-lasting Post Traumatic Stress resources.
Last year, Valor delivered over 45,000 meals to veterans and their families through the holiday meals program during the holidays.
The nonprofit also runs a 13-bed transitional home called Paul’s House, in honor of Major Paul Syverson to assist homeless veterans. Paul’s House has a 95% success rate breaking the cycle of chronic homelessness.
VALOR also facilitates a Veteran Peer to Peer counseling program called Veterans Unstoppable, which helps veterans transition from the military and cope with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), relationships, financial and social media issues. The group reported zero suicides among the Veterans Unstoppable program participants, while the national average is 22 per day.
VALOR is also accepting items for the silent auction. Monetary gifts are always appreciated. The donor’s name will be listed in the evening’s program and will be displayed at the auction table.
