The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania said Pernell Riddick, 36, a resident of Tobyhanna, was sentenced to 180 months’ imprisonment by United States District Judge Julia K. Munley, for possession with intent to distribute controlled substances.

According to the Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus, on Sept. 2, 2022, Riddick, possessed with intent to distribute methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance, fentanyl, a Schedule II controlled substance, and cocaine, a Schedule II controlled substance in Monroe County. Riddick also possessed a 9-millimeter Smith & Wesson handgun and a 9-millimeter Taurus G2C handgun.

The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department.
