Free lunches
In other business, the board announced the free breakfast and lunch program will continue in the new school year, while the costs for a second lunch were established.
Second lunches will cost $3 for students and $5 for adults for Type A meals.
In an unrelated matter, the board retained Zimmerman’s Dairy, Lehighton, as the provider of milk and juices for 2025-2026 and said the costs will remain the same. The milk prices are established by the PA Milk Marketing Board.
