State police at the Frackville barracks have released details on the one-vehicle crash that occurred at 9:33 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Wildcat Road and Gameland Drive in Walker Township.

They said Florence D. Rios, 25, of Tamaqua, had serious injuries after the crash and was flown by helicopter to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township.

She is also facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, police said.

They said she was driving a 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan that traveled off the roadway and crashed into a tree.

In addition to facing the DUI charges, Rios was cited for unsafe driving, police said.
