The Schuylkill County Fair opens today at 4 p.m. with rides, games, entertainment, tractor pull events, exhibits, agricultural shows, food and vendors.

Today is Pulling Day and among the events are pulling event by Pull Off Productions at 7 p.m. at the agricultural museum track. There is an addition fee for the event.

Also on tap is the Queen and Princess Contest, which gets underway at 4 p.m. from the main stage. Crowning is at 6 p.m.

Amusement rides open at 4 p.m. at the midway, and a tractor parade is at 4:30 p.m. form the main gate. Porcupine Pat presents “Ways of Wildlife” at 6 p.m. and Dairy Judging begins at 6:15 p.m. from the agricultural arena.

An equine demonstration starts at 7 p.m. Looker and the Knockout Horns perform at 7 and 9 p.m. from the main stage.

The fairgrounds are in Summit Station and can be found on a GPS by using the address: 2270 Fair Rd., Schuylkill Haven.
