Pleasant Valley School District contracts
The Pleasant Valley School Board approved the following purchases:
• SuperEval — 2025-26 superintendent and assistant superintendent evaluation service, $2,841.
• OpenGate System — Three CEIA OpenGate Weapons Detection Systems with training and installation, $58,202, to be paid from Capital Reserve.
• Purchase of new security vehicles from Koch 33 Ford through Costars — New 2025 Maverick AWD SuperCrew security vehicle with light bar and controller, plus five year 100,000 mile warranty, $34,326.
• Letter of Agreement with Carbon-Monroe-Pike Drug & Alcohol Commission Inc. for Drug and Alcohol Primary Prevention and Student Assistance Program/Intervention Services, $37,000.
• Pennsylvania Treatment and Healing agreement to provide Act 48 alternative education services; cost not to exceed $120 per day.
• Singer Equipment — Vollrath 4-series serving utility serving counters for Intermediate School Cafeteria, $24,528.41.
• HMH Education Co. — Read 180 and Math 180 Supplemental Learning Program, $20,531.73.
• Technology surplus sale/disposal of obsolete or unnecessary items as and dispose of or recycle them using EZPCRecycling Inc., $1,350.
• ATC Corp. — Tennis court repairs and resurfacing, $33,544.
• Super Heat — PVIS chiller repairs, $13,992.22.
• Digital Bundle: College Physics AP Edition, 12th Student Edition +WebAssign with 2-year access, cost $3,620, to be paid using Title IV grant money as recommended by the Assistant Superintendent Rae Lin Howard.
• Johnson Controls — PVMS kitchen hood deficiency repairs, $4,642.10; and PVIS kitchen hood deficiency repairs, $3,017.10.
• Imagine Learning — Elementary student licenses, Aug. 1 to July 30, 2026, $4,450.
• School DateBooks — PVIS Agenda Planners, July 1 to June 30, 2028, $2,583.36 per year.
Contracts with Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 for the 2025-26 school year, unless otherwise noted, for as needed services, include:
• Rescind the approval of agenda item from May 22, Linewize, web security appliance for web filtering, $19,500.
• Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 — Linewize, web security appliance for web filtering, $19,500.
• Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 and Pleasant Valley School District — Alternate and Regular Education Transportation contract, projected cost of $6.26 per mile for each student transported.
• Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 and Sweet, Stevens, Katz & Williams — to provide telephone and mail advice related to education technology, devices and policies, $630, from Aug. 24 to Aug. 23, 2026.
• Provide web-based curriculum licenses, Symbolstix license cost $184.99 per license for five licenses, total of $924.95; Unique Learning license, $830.99 per license for five licenses is $4,154.95 and to not exceed $5,079.90 for the 2025-26 school year.
• Interpreting services in collaboration with Transperfect, $6.84 per month for 12 months, not to exceed $82.08, plus a fee of $1.33 per minute.
• Psychiatric evaluations, as requested. Rates: psychiatric evaluation, $339.39; psychiatric amendment, $135.75; fee for no show appointment, $135.75; and fee for cancellation (less than 48 hours’ notice), $135.75.
• Licensed practical nurse to registered nurse to administer medication for Pleasant Valley School District students while attending community based instruction and/or field trips, $64 per hour for LPN or RN, effective.
• One-on-one job coaching services for five specific students: 270 hours, $16,316; 90 hours, $5,438.70; 270 hours, $11,418.30; 270 hours, $11,418.30; 360 hours, $15,224.40.
• Homebound services for students — Special education teacher, $60.95 per hour per student, plus mileage; and associate teacher, $25.11 per hour per student, plus mileage.
• Child Find evaluations — Adaptive physical education, $92.41 per hour; alternative augmentative communication evaluation, $750 per evaluation; educational audiology services, $292.17; feeding team evaluation, $1,200; itinerant hearing support, $195.25; itinerant vision support, $343.41; occupational therapy, $148.19; orientation and mobility services, $343.41; physical therapy, $170.33; psychological services, $144.02; and speech and language support, $145.42.
• Professional development for technology staff with CBT Nuggets Online Trained subscription, $554 per license for six licenses, $3,324.
