State police in western Pennsylvania are seeking the assistance of health care organizations to help them identify a woman who they said posed as a nurse to work at facilities across several states.
Police at the Washington barracks said Shannon Nicole Womack used at least 10 aliases to secure employment as a licensed practical nurse, a registered nurse or a registered nurse supervisor at different facilities.
They said she used the following last names: Parham, Abiola, Armstrong, Abiola-Parham, Grimes, Womack, Lawson, Lethco, Robinson and Lawson.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, police have charged Womack with securing the nursing positions through staffing agencies by submitting fraudulently signed documents and also by creating a false limited liability company to deploy herself to jobs.
Police said it is believed she worked at each of these jobs for only a short time. They said they are working with the Department of Health, Department of State and multiple district attorneys and states in the ongoing investigation.
Representatives of health care organizations, whose records match any of the above names in their employment records, are urged to call state police at the Washington barracks, 724-223-5200.
The official charges levied against her are corrupt organizations, endangering the welfare of care, unlawful use of a computer, identity theft, forgery, theft by unlawful taking and multiple other offenses.
