Palmerton man flown to hospital after falling off motorized scooter

A Palmerton man had to be lifeflighted after he fell over a motorized scooter Friday night in Palmerton.

Borough police Chief Tim Kromer said that the Palmerton Police Department along with Palmerton Fire Department were dispatched at 9:07 p.m. to assist EMS with a motorcycle crash at the Palmerton Diner.

Kromer said that once on scene, they found that a 67-year-old man had a head injury, which was reported to be from falling over on a motorized scooter.

He said there was no collision reported by the witness.

Kromer said the man was flown to Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest as a precaution due to the head injury.

He said no charge will be filed.
