The Lehighton Area Heritage Alliance will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. today at the Lehighton Rec Center (left side door). All are welcome to join in preserving the history of Lehighton and our surrounding townships. New volunteers are welcome to join a committee at any time — collections, events, facilities, grants, and more.

Everyone is encouraged to bring a Lehighton-related old photo, memory, or artifact to share with the group at the end of the meeting.

Upcoming events include an evening with artist Ruth Bush, artwork inspired by growing up in Lehighton, at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 19 at Wine & More on First Street; monthly meeting with show and tell, Sept. 15 at 6 p.m. at Lehighton Rec Center, and Songs & Stories in the Mausoleum, “Celebrating Celebrations” kick off to America250, at 2 p.m. Sept. 28 at Lehighton Cemetery.
