A 10-year-old Lansford boy suffered serious injuries in an assault last Wednesday, July 16, in Lansford.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said a 13-year-old boy was taken into custody without incident after the after the incident and is charged with “assault-serious bodily injury.”

Police said they were dispatched at about 3:10 p.m. to West Bertsch Street to investigate the assault. They did not provide any other details of the incident.
