The bakery homemade live auction takes place at 3 p.m. Sunday.
Donna Crum, president of the Blue Mountain Animal Rescue Society and Animal Emergency and Vet Care Assistance Fund, who is also the founder of the Rockin’ Rescue, said the event is being held to help animals in need.
“There are larger numbers of hoarding cases and abuse cases than ever,” Crum said. “We’re networking with other rescuers and shelters; all the rescues are welcome to come to the event and set up for free as it’s been since day one because they need the money as much as we do.”
There will be plenty of education materials available as well, said Crum, who added, “If we don’t have the answer, we’ll get it as always.”
Crum said community support is as vital as ever.
“We just want them to come out and have fun, continue to support,” she said. “Without the public, we can’t do anything; the public behind the scenes makes it happen by supporting these events.”
A silent auction sponsored by BMARS will see winners drawn at 7 p.m. Sunday.
