CARBON COUNTY COURT

The following people were sentenced on June 3 by Carbon County President Judge Roger Nanovic or Judge Joseph Matika:

• Birdell Brockington, 28, of Lansford, was ordered to undergo imprisonment in the Carbon County Correctional Facility for not less than 3 months nor more than 12 months for disorderly conduct. Brockington was also charged with harassment and must undergo a mental health and drug and alcohol evaluation within 30 days and comply with all recommendations. He was also ordered to have no contact with the victim(s).

• Anthony Campisi, 64, of Lansdale, was placed on probation for a period of 1 year and must render 50 hours of community service for risking catastrophe. Campisi was also charged with criminal misconduct- damaging property as well as disorderly conduct- creating hazard and was placed on probation for a period of 1 year. He was also ordered to pay restitution of $864.

• Vittoria Brown, 33, of Lansford, was placed on probation for a period of 2 years for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Brown was also ordered to render 50 hours of community service as well as pay restitution of $4,793.88 and have no contact with the victim(s).

• Carl Carlson, 59, of Palmerton must undergo imprisonment in the Carbon County Correctional Facility for a period of 2 days and was also placed on probation for a period of 58 days for driving while license is suspended. He was also ordered to pay a fine of $500.

The following people were sentenced on May 29 by Carbon County Judge Joseph Matika:

• Devon Keomanivanh II, 29, of Philadelphia, must undergo imprisonment in Carbon County Correction Facility for not less than 72 hours nor more than 6 months DUI of a controlled substance. Keomanivanh was also ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 and must render 25 hours of community service.

• Adam Rafferty, 20, of Ringoes, New Jersey, must undergo imprisonment in the Carbon County Correctional Facility for not less than 72 hours nor more than 6 months for DUI-incapable of driving safely. He was also ordered to render 25 hours of community service and pay a fine of $1,000. Rafferty was also charged with recklessly endangering another person and was ordered to render 50 hours of community service as well as pay restitution of $146,181.04.

• John Lawrence Stefanick, 63, of Summit Hill, was placed on probation for a period of 6 months for DUI- incapable of driving safely. Stefanick was also ordered to pay a fine of $300 and must render 25 hours of community service.

• Gilbert Torres, 45, of Lexington, South Carolina, must undergo imprisonment in the Carbon County Correctional Facility for not less than 72 hours nor more than 6 months for DUI of a controlled substance. Torres was also ordered to render 25 hours of community service, pay a fine of $1,000 and complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program.
