Summer Mountain Road in East Penn Township is closed due to a motor vehicle crash. The incident occurred around 5 p.m. Thursday afternoon during a rain storm. The driver apparently lost control entering the berm impacting with and snapping off a utility pol. State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident. East Penn fire police maintained traffic control at the scene, shutting down the roadway.
