Carbon County Commissioners

The Carbon County Board of Commissioners took action on numerous items during Thursday’s meeting at the county administration building. The following actions were approved:

• The purchase of three Motorola APX6000 radios for $19,168.50 from Green’s Communications of Pottsville. The cost includes programming and a five-year warranty.

• A five-year internship agreement with Bloomsburg University for adult probation internship placements.

• Continuation of the Carbon County Area on Agency on Aging as fiscal manager for the Link Program (July 2025 — June 2026).

• A renewed agreement with Julie Rovinski-Mann as Link Coordinator at $25 an hour. The contract renews annually, subject to funding availability.

• An agreement with Ford Pro for GPS software for 41 county vehicles at a monthly cost of $738. The county is applying for a Pennsylvania County Risk Pool Loss Prevent Grant to cover the cost.

• Ratified an amendment to add one Zoom Room Connector license for the Correctional Facility at a cost of $499.

• A $2,892 agreement with ESCO Security of Ephrata for DVR installation and camera programming at the district magistrate office in Lansford.

• A $27,359 agreement with the Carbon County Action Committee for the Homeless Assistance Program. The committee will provide all assistance under the HAP guidelines through June 30, 2026.

• A $50,000 agreement with the Action Committee for the Human Services Development Fund. The committee will provide all assistance under the HSDF guidelines through June 30, 2026.

• The purchase of two Fortinet wireless access points from IntegraOne of Allentown for $1,925.64. The points are for the courthouse and Area Agency on Aging.

• A $6,000 proposal from Agrarian Associates Inc. of Lebanon for three agricultural conservation easement appraisals. The farms are owned by Renee G. and Keith N. Youse, Barry Fink and Justin L. and Katherine E. Cunfer.

• A LegalServer subscription and onboarding agreement with P.S. Technologies Inc. of Oak, Illinois, for case management software for the public defender’s office at an initial cost of $30,000 plus monthly fees. This is partially funded through the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency Indigent Defense Grant.

• The purchase of 10 Panasonic Tough Book laptops and keyboards for $36,190 for the sheriff’s office.

• Banner requests for the Artisaship Summer Concert Series at the Wilds (July 1 — Aug. 1), and the Electrifying Jack-O-Lantern Experience (Sept. 22 — Nov. 1).
