The Aquashicola fire company was dispatched Friday afternoon to a terrain rescue on the Appalachian Trail. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. when it was reported a male hiker fell and received an injury to his arm. Firefighters traversed the access road to reach the hiker and bring him out to the command center.
