Busch Grand Marshall for sold-out Pocono race

LONG POND, Pa. — The Great American Getaway 400 presented by VISITPA.COM will take the green flag Sunday in front of a sold-out crowd at Pocono Raceway for the third consecutive year, continuing a remarkable run of momentum at “The Tricky Triangle.”

The last three Cup Series races at Pocono have drawn the track’s largest crowds since 2010, and this weekend is expected to surpass them all, thanks in part to expanded camping capacity. The sellout includes all frontstretch and premium seating, suites, infield camping, and grandstand camping. Fans from all 50 states and 13 international countries are expected to attend.

“Our team is honored to deliver a sold-out Great American Getaway 400 presented by VISITPA.COM and can’t wait to see who hoists our cherished Eagle Trophy in front of this tremendous crowd,” said Pocono Raceway President Ben May.

Tickets are still available for today’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Explore the Pocono Mountains 250 (3:30 p.m., The CW). For resale options to Sunday’s Cup race, fans can visit SeatGeek, the official secondary marketplace of Paciolan.

Kurt Busch to Serve

as Grand Marshal

Kurt Busch, a three-time Pocono winner and a newly elected member of the 2026 NASCAR Hall of Fame class, will serve as Grand Marshal for Sunday’s race. He will deliver the command to start engines, while Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro will wave the green flag as Honorary Starter (2 p.m., Amazon Prime, MRN, SiriusXM).

Busch earned 34 career Cup Series victories, the 2004 championship, and the 2017 Daytona 500 during a 23-year career. He also notched 14 top-five finishes in 41 Pocono starts, along with two poles. In recognition of his contributions, Pocono has painted “TY KURT” on the start/finish line and the Mattioli Foundation will donate $10,000 to Vet Tix in his honor.

“We’re honored to celebrate Kurt’s Hall-of-Fame career with our fans,” said May. “Pocono Raceway is proud to be a small part of that legacy.”

Fan Events, Experiences

and Weekend Schedule

The fan experience continues all weekend with the Visit PA Fan Zone, featuring giveaways, games, and UTV rides through the infield campground. Fans can enter raffles for tickets to popular Pennsylvania destinations including Hersheypark and Kalahari Resorts. Visit PA has also donated 125 race-day tickets to Pennsylvania veterans.

“The Great American Getaway is all about the perfect summer road trip,” said Anne Ryan, Deputy Secretary of Tourism. “There’s no better place to celebrate that than Pocono Raceway — and no better Grand Marshal than Kurt Busch.”
