Calvary Lewistown

The 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship service at Calvary Evangelical Church in Lewistown will feature guest speaker, Erica Murphy from the New England Valley of Tamaqua. She will deliver a message titled, “The Rest of God.” There will be special music as well as sharing of faith and prayer requests. Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m.

There will be no evening services on Sunday or June 29 so folks can attend the Auburn Camp Meeting, Third Street, Auburn from June 30 - 29. For more information, call JoAnn at 570-943-2131.

There will be no Wednesday evening gathering.

Day camps

Good News Day Camps, sponsored by the Child Evangelism Fellowship of Schuylkill County, will be held this summer at five sites. The camps run from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and are open to any child who has completed kindergarten to those who are entering seventh grade.

The camps feature Bible lessons, crafts, recreation and surprises. In the Tamaqua area, the camp will be held June 23 to 27 at the Lewistown Valley Tabernacle, Valley Road.

St. Peter’s West Penn

The Sunday worship service at St. Peter’s in West Penn is at 9 a.m. followed by Adult Sunday school at 10:15 a.m.

On June 29, the church board meets at 10:30 a.m.

Zion Lewistown

Pastor Jim Williams will officiate the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service at Zion Church in Lewistown Valley. Adult Sunday school will meet at 9:30 a.m., but the children’s Sunday school will not be held during the summer. Classes will resume on Sept. 7.

“The War Room” movie will be shown at 2 p.m. Sunday in the social hall.
