Pascoe receives honors at Chestnut Hill
Former Panther Valley graduate Michael Pascoe recently received a pair of honors for his academic and athletic performances this season.
The baseball standout at Chestnut Hill College, Pascoe was selected to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference 2025 all-conference team and also was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Baseball team.
The 2025 baseball all-conference teams are voted on by the league’s 13 coaches. Pascoe was a second team selection as a utility-pitcher. This year’s selection marks the second consecutive year Pascoe earned All-CACC honors.
The former Panther, who was the Times News Baseball Player of the Year in 2023, played and started in all 47 games for the Griffins this season, leading the team in home runs (7) and RBIs (39) while recording 50 hits and batting .303. He also scored 34 runs, walked 32 times, had an on-base percentage of .415 and stole 16 bases. Pascoe also saw time on the mound, pitching 24 1/3 innings and striking out 17.
He hit two home runs and drove in six runs in the Griffins’ 18-12 extra inning come-from-behind win against Holy Family in mid-March. Pascoe had 13 multiple-hit games and had two eight game hitting streaks.
In addition to his stellar play, Pascoe was also one of four Chestnut Hill players — and the only underclassman — named to the Academic All-District team.
To be eligible for Academic All-District accolades, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore athletically and academically, appear in 90 percent of their team’s contests or start in 66 percent and have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better.
An accounting major, Pascoe has earned Dean’s List, CHC Athletic Academic Honor Roll and CACC Academic Honor roll in every semester while attending Chestnut Hill.
