State police at Lehighton
State police at Lehighton reported on the following incidents:
• A 58-year-old Lansford man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol following a 9:09 p.m. traffic stop on the 600 block of East Patterson Street in Lansford.
• Police are investigating the theft of $15,000 from a 41-year-old Philadelphia man.
Police said the man gave $49,000 in cash to a friend in Lower Towamensing Township to hold for one night. After two days, he received the money back but $15,000 was missing, police said. He reported the theft on May 30.
• Police are investigating an act of criminal mischief that was reported June 9 by a 52-year-old Lehighton man. Police said the victim found an arrow had damaged a roof shingle at a North Kittatinny Road property in East Penn Township at 2:21 p.m. June 9.
• A 27-year-old Slatington man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after police made a traffic stop at 2:25 a.m. June 11.
She was stopped in a 2017 Honda CRV on Delaware Avenue in Palmerton.
• A 51-year-old Jim Thorpe man was charged with violating a Protection From Abuse court order after police were called to Behrens Road, Penn Forest Township, at 9 a.m. June 11.
The victim is a 51-year-old woman from Jim Thorpe who told police the man went onto her property and dropped off items there.
• A 58-year-old Lehighton man was cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to an argument at 12:26 p.m. June 15 on Lakeview Drive, Towamensing Township.
The victim is a 59-year-old woman from Lehighton who told police her husband pushed her.
