Mahoning Township Supervisors took the following action on Wednesday:

• Approved the First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union release of escrow in the amount of $374,535.

• Rejected a bid for a dehumidification system from MYCO Mechanical in the amount of $124,000, add alt dehumidification units upper level $32,000 and south lower level $34,000, and agreed to rebid the project.

• Rejected bids for the roof from ARK Contracting in the amount of $74,700, add alt replace existing soffit and fascia, $30,700, and agreed to rebid the project.

• Agreed to purchase a 48-by-48 trailer in the amount of $584 from Tractor Supply for a speed radar sign.

• Agreed to gift the DUI trailer that belonged to the township police department to Lehighton Borough.

• Agreed to renew the pumpkin field lease to Chris Botek for field at 2685 Mahoning Drive E.

• Approved a request from West Penn Township for Mahoning Township to provide fire police assistance for West Penn Township’s 2025 Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks July 5 at J.E. Morgan Memorial Park, conditioned on receiving a letter from West Penn Township.
