Tamaqua Seniors
The Tamaqua Senior Citizens met on June 5 with 26 members present.
President Jean Machamer opened the meeting.
Two members were added to the sick list. One member was welcomed back and one member celebrated a birthday in June.
The group meets at 1 p.m. Thursdays at the Coaldale Complex.
St. Peter’s - West Penn
The 9 a.m. Sunday worship service at St. Peter’s Church in West Penn will celebrate Father’s Day. Adult Sunday school is at 10:15 a.m.
WASP meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday. At 6 p.m. Thursday there will be a Scotland trip presentation in the social hall.
Zion Lewistown
Pastor Jim Williams will officiate the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service at Zion Church in Lewistown Valley. Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m.
Lewistown Valley Vacation Bible School will be held at the Lewistown Valley tabernacle on Valley Road from 6-8:15 p.m. July 7-11. Children from the age of 2 through sixth grade are welcome.
Garden Club
Members of the Lewistown Valley Garden Club held their May meeting with a tour of a member’s garden. The event was enjoyed by all.
The next meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m. June 17 beginning with lunch at an earlier agreed upon site and a garden tour in Franklin Township. Members should note the change in time and date.

Rush-Ryan-Delano Seniors
The Rush-Ryan-Delano Senior Citizens met June 10 at Christ Church.
President Robert Neifert opened the meeting with a reading, Lord’s Prayer, and one verse of “God Bless America.”
There were 31 members present.
Birthdays include Fred Herb, Cindy Godanis and Elaine Trusky.
Under new business, the seniors will make a donation to the church.
