CCTI health medical students celebrate milestones

Seven dedicated students in the health and medical program at the Carbon Career & Technical Institute celebrated their successful completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant Program, marking a major step toward their future careers in health care.

They are: Shlyah Fenstemaker, Panther Valley School District; Kendalynn Gable, Palmerton Area; Madyson Harmady, Palmerton Area; Chasity Kibler, Lehighton Area; Jalissa Diana Mantilla, Jim Thorpe Area; Zoey Moyer, Palmerton area; and Emma Valderrama, Lehighton Area.

In addition, four students passed their Certified Clinical Medical Assistant exams: Gable, Harmady, Mantilla and Valdarrama, demonstrating their competence in clinical and administrative duties within medical settings.

The achievements continue as eight students recently passed the National Occupational Competency Testing Institute exam: Fenstemaker, Gable, Grace Gruber (Lehighton Area), Harmady, Kibler, Mantilla, Moyer and Valderrama. The exams are recognized as a benchmark of career readiness.

Notably, two of the students, Gable and Valderrama earned advanced scores, highlighting their exceptional performance.

The accomplishments reflect the hard work, determination and skill of each student as they prepare to enter the health care workforce confidently and competently.
